In order to copy the aforementioned certification cards, I had them stacked cards on my desk and stood in between the couch and my desk, going back and forth between the printer and the desk, getting new cards, putting the copies down, etc. Naturally, I alphabetized the cards before I copied them so that the copies would be in order for filing (basically, I'm a genius for thinking of doing that). The real adventure began when I was at about the G's, moving onto the H's. I lifted up the lid of the scanner part of the printer to switch the cards I had just copied for cards that were waiting their turn, when one of the cards decided it wanted to do things its own way. I have no idea how it managed, but it flew from the scanner-glass and fluttered down behind the printer. If you'll once again refer to the outline above, you can see that there's exactly zero room between the printer and the couch and the wall. I was absolutely stumped as to how I would retrieve the card. I just stood there. I was stunned that the card would do such a thing! I also had no idea what to do. Then it came to me. Move the furniture. So I did. All of it. (ok, just the printer and Alyssa's desk and the couch.) I accidentally barricaded the door and trapped myself in the room. By the time I finally got to the card, the room looked a little like this:

But, I had successfully rescued the card from near death (aka, being lost forever), so it was totally worth it.
