You know those days when you wake up, and you’re positive it’s going to be a terrible day? Your throat feels like it’s been cheese-grated, you literally can’t move your back, when you try to stand up your knee buckles…so you just let yourself collapse back onto your bed and don’t bother getting back up? Yep, today was one of those. Except, after I put icy/hot on my knee, back, and ankle, took some Excedrin extra strength, drowned my throat in cough drops/cough medicine, and looked at the beautiful grey sky for a little minute, it turned into a completely different day.
Upon my second attempt at standing, the day became an amazing day – the kind where I washed my super reesty wrist guards and elbow pads so that I don’t make everyone around me want to puke, wrote letters to a couple of my favorite people, got a lot done at work, and went bowling with my best friend and her husband.
I attribute the change in the day to the sky. No day can be bad when the sky is such a wonderful grey. Also, it took everything I had to not keep the bowling shoes when we left the alley. I love me those bowling shoes.
I wish I could feel so pleasant about the grey day. I'm sure you're LOVING the snow today. Me--I'll take the sunshine any day!
