Farewell, Temporarily.

The time has arrived when work will officially own my soul. That's right, the applications are in, the printers are getting overheated, the paperwork is about to come flooding through the door. I will soon look like this:

Ok, ok, you won't be able to literally swap me out with that woman there. The piles will be labeled differently, my desk is smaller, and there's not a standing fan in my office. Just a sitting fan. Under Katie's desk. Only it's usually a heater.

The point is, we're getting into the craziness of the season opening. Luckily, I get to work with some of my favorite people on this whole earth, so it won't be too bad. Katie's also the most organized human in the world, so she figured out how to split everything up between everybody. The goal: no 80 hour work weeks, and no 18 hour days between now and June 1st. 72/wk max. I believe it can be done.

It must be done, because as I've mentioned (in every post this year, in almost every FB status, in pretty much every tweet, and multiple times during all verbal communication) I have some roller derby to play in the evenings. I'm still obsessed. If roller derby were a person, I'd probably have been issued a restraining order, because I've certainly crossed the stalker line. We take our assessments on Thursday...tomorrow...and if we pass (please bless), we'll get put onto one of the two home teams. And then we get to play. It's fine that just thinking about it makes my heart race with excitement and nervousness.

In other news, the twin comes home in 8 DAYS!!!! Remember when she left? Oh, you don't? Well, you can click here to read about it a little bit. Ok, that wasn't really about when she left, but it did talk about her. She's an amazing soul, and I seriously don't know how I can wait 8 more days. I might have to head off to OK tonight to fetch her home a little early. I'm extremely giddy to live with her and work with her again. We're nearly in the same place as when she left, with the working together and all that. Only in the last year and a half, she's done some amazing things, taught people about the church, and served and worked hard every day, and I've worked a little, half-heartedly gone to school, and done little else. Oh well. We always knew that the best things come in smaller packages ;).

Back to the title of this whole thing: Farewell. I'm not really going anywhere...I just know that I probably will barely have time to breathe for the next little while, and therefore won't be writing on this here bloggity blog very often. So, farewell to the 7 people who read what I write. I will be back, I swear it.
