The Great Escape

I raced up to my room to get a book off my shelf that I remembered I needed to read. As I opened my door, I noticed a little white mass sprinted across the floor. For a second, I was confused. What could that thing be, that white mass running across my floor. Then it hit me--CHLOE!!! Somehow she managed to open part of her cage and had escaped. I jumped on the floor and caught her. I decided maybe she wanted to hang out with me for a while instead of sitting in my room in her cage all alone, so I brought her downstairs. As Hobbes and I were sitting on the couch letting Chloe walk around, all of a sudden she raced through the couch cushions down to the depths of the couch! I hurried and jumped up, throwing all the cushions onto the floor, but I couldn't see the little miscreant anywhere. We looked around the couch, and then saw here little head poking around the side of the couch bed. I tried to grab her, but my hands were to big, and she had disappeared again before Hobbes and her little hands came to the rescue. We continued looking for her, then Hobbes found her underneath the couch, and she was able to get a hold of her and pull her out, but not before my drink was spilled all over our living room floor. I was frustrated with Chloe by then, so I took her back up to her cage. I think I need to get her an exercise ball or tube things to expand her cage. How embarrassing that my hamster is smarter than me.
