Parking lots and bright colors

As many thousand people can attest, the BYU student parking lots are ridiculous. They're too small, too crowded, too far from campus, and fill up way too fast. Luckily, I've been able to get a beautiful parking spot every day now that I have 8 o'clock classes. That I go to. Everyday. 100% after 2 weeks. Way to go New Emilie. Anyway, I digress. I'm done with class by either 9:30 or noon each day, and I've created a bit of a game for myself.

You know how when you have late morning classes, and you know the parking lots are all full, but you still drive through them anyway, and every blue moon you see someone leaving and you bless the heavens and fight 6 other cars for their spot? Well, I've been that person. And it's the worst. But now I'm the person that's done with class early and gets to leave campus. I like watching the vultures fight over my parking spot. So, I've kinda started to wait in my car till I see a couple of unsuspecting cars creeping into the lot, going as slowly as they can to make sure they don't miss anything that could be termed a parking lot, and once there's a pretty good number of them, that's when I finally make my move.

I pull out.

That's when all the fun begins. I don't even leave the parking lot all the way. I just sit there, a little bit away from the cluster of vehicles, waiting to see who the lucky/gutsy/willing to crash to get my spot/crazy person is going to win the game. It's the most fun I've ever had, I think.

I played this game today, and as I was pulling out of the parking lot, I saw the winner of the game get out of her car. And I was so glad she one. Because she looked like this:

I'm positive that her clothes are what made her win. It's kind of like the fish who are super bright and freaky looking, and it makes the other fish just stare at them for so long that the freaky fish all of a sudden gobbles them up. That's what this girl looked like.
