Mafia
Once there was a day. It was a Wednesday. Upon this day, 3 of my mom's siblings and their families came over, and we ate some delicious eats, talked, and watched The Bishop's Wife (the old version, black and white.) It was an interesting film, and the youngsters were the same kids that are in It's a Wonderful Life. 2 of the families left after the movie, but one stayed and we played several rounds of Mafia. Personally, I've never liked Mafia. I'm not bad at it, I'm a pretty convincing liar, I just don't like the game. I'd rather play something else. But on that day, on that Wednesday, i thoroughly enjoyed our games of Mafia. My cousin Marcus, who is very much wise beyond his years, said at one point "When I'm a citizen, I like to make everyone think I'm a member of the mafia. That way, I get killed instead of the policeman." I thought this was really smart of him. How many 10 year olds are willing to give up their chance of winning, their "life" in a game, for the good of everyone? I was very impressed with Marcus.
